With the US no longer financially supporting Ukraine, that support falls fully on the shoulders of the Europeans. The latest EU financial package for Ukraine was Euro $90 billion for 2026 and 2027 (Euro 45 billion for each year); two thirds on war spending and one third for other state spending. But that already looks woefully inadequate.

A US$27 billion hole has been found in the 2026 military budget, with US$20 billion needed for military salaries and the rest for weapons. How exactly does such a huge hole open up within a current fiscal year? One possibility is that the already astronomical level of corruption just went supernova, as the senior rats gather as much money together as possible before jumping from the sinking ship called Ukraine. Especially when US$20 billion is for unpaid salaries! If anything displays the corrupt nature of the Ukrainian money pit, that is probably it. Zelensky says that he is discussing this with France and Germany. I am sure that the populations of both of those nations will not be happy to see many billions more flow to Ukraine while they are being told to tighten their belts!

But that is not all. To make matters worse, the military geniuses in Ukraine (and in the UK, France, Germany and US) decided to start a massive terrorist drone war against civilian targets on Russian territory. This has now spectacularly backfired with Russia smashing the Ukrainian logistics network and military production facilities with missiles, glide bombs and drones.
