President Donald Trump kicked off his first full day in China by posting a slo-mo montage of his red-carpet arrival in Beijing.
The video — shared on Truth Social at 3:25 a.m. local time on Thursday — shows lines of children waving Chinese and American flags as the president steps off Air Force One. He then proceeds down the tarmac, flanked by members of his delegation, which includes tech billionaires Elon Musk and Tim Cook.
Trump will receive a formal welcome from President Xi Jinping at 10 a.m. local time (10 p.m. ET Wednesday, 3 a.m. BST Thursday). The leaders are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting at the Great Hall of the People, where discussions are expected to cover the ongoing war in Iran, trade relations and the future of Taiwan.
