UK: Patriots protect London landmarks

By

Thousands of conservative counter-demonstrators gathered in central London today to protect the city’s historical landmarks from rioters after the authorities showed an unwillingness to do so. The Black Lives Matter (BLM) organisation urged their supporters to stay away from London today out of concerns that they may end up in fights with counterprotesters. “Anti-racist” demonstrations continued in other areas, however.

The counter-demonstrators gathered in Parliament Square and Whitehall, around the Cenotaph War Memorial, after having vowed to protect such symbols of Britain’s history from further harm. The groups that joined the event included Britain First and various football clubs.

The event was mostly peaceful, with counter-demonstrators singing the national anthem and chanting “England,” according to a report by BBC News.
