A crucial point heavily emphasized by Crooke was that the fearful, furtive movements of the Saudi leader were not due to any concerns that he might become the victim of some missile strike by the Houthis, who had no record of undertaking such assassination attempts.

Crooke is grossly misleading his audience by making a parallel with the March 1975 assassination of King Faysal.

King Faysal was an outspoken supporter of the Arab and Palestinian causes. He lead the 1973 oil embargo intended to stop oil supply to Isreal-allied countries in support of the Arab countries at war with Israel, Egypt and Syria.

Unhappy with US-sponsored concessions made by Israel, King Faysal threatened to resume the oil embargo and received a visit to that effect by Henry Kissinger in January 1975. The visit went very badly and no agreenent on curtailing Israel’s ambitions could be made.

But very shortly afterwards in March 1975, King Faysal was conveniently shot by a nephew with a striking MK Ultra profile. The coincidence of the JFK assassination-Dimona nuclear riddle immediately comes to mind.

The nephew and future assassin, Faisal Bin Musaid, studied in San Francisco State College and the University of Colorado. University of Colorado Professor Edward Rozek, who had taught him in three comparative government courses, described him as “academically a D and a C student” and his motivation for his future assassination “must have been drugs”.
